๐Ÿ’ท Costs & Quotes

Costs vary depending on the size, complexity, and materials used in your project. As a rough guide, fitted alcove shelving starts from around ยฃ800โ€“ยฃ1,500; a set of fitted wardrobes from ยฃ2,500; and a complete bespoke kitchen from ยฃ8,000 upwards. We provide fully itemised quotes so you know exactly what you're paying for โ€” no vague estimates, no hidden extras.

Yes, completely. We'll visit your home, take measurements, discuss your ideas, and provide a detailed quote โ€” all at no cost and with no obligation to proceed. We believe you should be able to understand exactly what you're getting before committing to anything.

Yes, we typically ask for a deposit on acceptance of your quote, which covers initial material costs. The remaining balance is usually split with a payment part-way through the project and a final payment on completion. We'll explain the payment schedule clearly in your written quote.

โฑ Timescales

It depends on the project. A single fitted furniture commission โ€” wardrobes or alcove shelving โ€” typically takes 4โ€“6 weeks from order to installation. A bespoke staircase or kitchen is usually 8โ€“12 weeks. We'll give you a realistic, honest timeline when we provide your quote, and keep you updated throughout the process.

We're a busy workshop, so we'd always recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later โ€” especially if you have a particular date in mind, such as a house move or renovation schedule. For larger projects like kitchens and staircases, we're typically booking 6โ€“10 weeks ahead. Smaller commissions can sometimes be accommodated more quickly. Contact us to find out current availability.

๐Ÿ“ The Process

We'll have a brief conversation (by phone or email) to understand what you're looking for, then arrange a visit to your home at a time that suits you. During that visit we'll take measurements, discuss your ideas, advise on materials and options, and gather everything we need to prepare your detailed design drawing and quote.

Yes โ€” every project comes with a detailed design drawing so you can see exactly what you'll be getting before we start making anything. We'll discuss the drawing with you, make any changes needed, and only proceed to manufacture once you're completely happy with the design.

Minor changes can sometimes be accommodated after work has started, depending on the stage of the project. Significant changes may affect the cost and timescale. That's why we invest time upfront in making sure the design is exactly right before we begin manufacturing โ€” so there are no regrets further down the line.

๐Ÿชต Materials & Finish

We work with a wide range of hardwoods and softwoods depending on the application โ€” oak, ash, tulipwood, walnut, and pine are all regularly used. For painted finishes, we often use a moisture-resistant MDF core with solid timber lippings for durability. We'll advise on the best material for your project and budget during the consultation.

Absolutely. We can apply a factory-sprayed paint finish in virtually any colour โ€” including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux, and RAL colours. Just tell us the colour reference and we'll match it precisely. Painted finishes are extremely popular for fitted kitchens and bedroom furniture.

Yes โ€” this is something we specialise in. Whether you have a period property with original features you'd like us to replicate, or simply want new joinery to complement what's already there, we have the skill and experience to match profiles, mouldings, and finishes accurately. We'll assess your existing joinery during our site visit.
